SODIUM COFFEE-BENZOATE (Coffeinum-natrii benzoas).

Synonym: Coffeinum natrio-benzoicum.

White powder is slightly bitter taste, odorless. Easily soluble in water (1: 2), it is difficult - in alcohol (1:40). Contains 38 - 40% caffeine. Solutions (pH 6, 8 - 8, 5) are sterilized at + 100 ° C for 30 minutes.

On pharmacological properties, indications and contraindications for use is similar to caffeine; It dissolves better in water and is more quickly excreted from the body than caffeine.
