Description of the medicine: Furaplast (Furaplastum cum Perchlorvinylo)
FURAPLAST (with perchlorovinyl) (Furaplastum cum Perchlorvinylo).
The liquid is light yellow in color, syrupy, with the smell of chloroform.
Composition: furatsilina 0.022 g, dimethyl phthalate 2.2 g, perchlorovinyl resin 8.75 g, acetone 27.7 g, chloroform 61.3 (per 100 g).
They are used to treat abrasions, scratches, cracks, cuts and other minor skin injuries (see Klefurin).
The damaged area of the skin is cleaned (with hydrogen peroxide or alcohol), wiped with a dry sterile gauze swab, then a thin layer of furaplast is applied with a glass or wooden stick. After 1 - 2 minutes, the drug dries, forming a dense, elastic film. The film is stable, does not wash off with water, usually lasts 1 to 3 days. If the film is damaged, furaplast is reapplied before wound healing.
Furaplast should not be used with severe suppuration of the wound and the phenomena of inflammation, pyoderma, severe bleeding. In case of slight bleeding, it should first be stopped by conventional methods, then cover the wound with furaplast.
Release form: in bottles of orange glass on 50 ml.
Storage: List B. In a place protected from light and fire.
Note. When stored in poorly sealed containers, the product thickens (solvent evaporates), in these cases a small amount of chloroform can be added to the bottle and shaken.
3. OINTMENT <FASTIN> (Unguentum <<Fastinum>>).
Homogeneous dense mass of yellow, with a faint peculiar smell. Contains furatsilin (0.2%), synthomycin (1, 6%), anestezin (3%), lanolin, stearin and water - a total of up to 100%.
Apply for burns of the I degree, fresh burns of the II and III degree, purulent wounds, pyoderma.
The ointment is applied to sterile gauze wipes and applied to the affected surface of the skin.
The dressing is changed after 7 - 10 days; if there is evidence, they change earlier.
Release form: in cans of orange glass on 50 g.
Storage: in a cool place.
4. OINTMENT << FULEVID >> (Unguentum <Fulevid>).
Ointment containing furatsilin (0.1%); chloramphenicol (2%), a solution (oily) of retinol acetate (or acetate), anhydrous lanolin.
They are used to treat dermatitis, long-term non-healing wounds, rectal fissures, pressure sores, burns of I - II degree.
The ointment is applied in a thin layer on a sterile napkin, which is applied to the treated wound surface. The dressing is left for 24 hours, changed daily or 2-3 times a week, depending on the amount of purulent wound. The duration of treatment is 1 to 4 weeks.
Release form: in cans of orange glass on 25 g.
Storage: in a dark place at a temperature of no higher than 10 C.
