STREPTOSALYUZID (Streptosaluzidum)

Streptomycin salt of 2-carboxy-3, 4-dimetoksibenzal izonikotinoilgidrazona (see. Salyuzid).

Available in the form of the bisulfate salt.

The porous hygroscopic mass of yellow, bitter taste, and odorless.

Easily soluble in water, practically insoluble in alcohol; pH of an aqueous solution of 5, 6 - 7, 0.

The drug has antimicrobial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, streptomycin-sensitive and drug isoniazid group.

Apply intramuscular, intratracheal and inhalation.

The solutions for intramuscular injection is prepared under aseptic conditions immediately prior to use. In vial injected 2% novocaine solution - 1 ml per 0.5 g streptosalyuzida. The average daily intake for adults of 1 On the first day give 0.5 g; if tolerated dose was increased to 1 g (in single or 2 to 0.5 g twice daily).

Babies smaller doses are administered in accordance with age and weight.

Streptosalyuzida solution should be used within the first hour after cooking.

For intratracheal administration with tuberculous lesions of the larynx and bronchi, dissolve 0.5 g in 2 ml and inhalation - 3-5 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution.
