Bonafton (Bonaphtonum). 6-Bromo-1, 2-naphthoquinone.

Reddish orange crystalline powder. Almost nerastvorim in the water.

Has antiviral activity against the virus of herpes simplex and some adenoviruses.

Applied for the treatment of herpetic keratitis, viral skin diseases (herpes simple, surrounding, condyloma, etc.), herpetic stomatitis, gingivitis, genital herpes, genital warts and other viral diseases of the skin and mucous membranes of a viral nature.

With eye diseases, adults take inside (an hour after eating) 0.1 g 3 - 4 times a day; Children - on 0,025 g from 1 to 4 times depending on the age. At the same time, 0.05% of ophthalmic ointment is poured 3 to 4 times a day.

With superficial herpetic keratitis and adenovirus keratoconjunctivitis, only ophthalmic ointment (0.05%) is prescribed 3 to 4 times a day for 7-10 days.

With a simple and herpes zoster, take 0.1 g 3 to 5 times a day, and apply 0.5% ointment 2 to 3 times a day to the lesions. In the genital area, 4 to 6 applications per day are done. Treatment is carried out by three 5-day cycles with 1 to 2-day breaks or two 10-day cycles with a 3 to 5-day break.
