BEMITIL (Bemithylum). 2-Ethylthiobenzimidazole hydrobromide.
Crystalline powder, white or creamy white. Soluble in water with the formation of turbid solutions; soluble in alcohol.
It has a psychostimulating effect, has antihypoxic activity, increases the body's resistance to hypoxia and increases performance during physical exertion. It is considered as a representative of a new group - actoprotective drugs. Slowly absorbed by ingestion.
Assign to adults with asthenic conditions, neurosis, after injuries and other conditions in which stimulation of mental and physical functions is indicated.
There is evidence of the immunostimulating effect of bemitil and its effectiveness in connection with this in the treatment of certain infectious diseases.
Take bemitil after eating 0.25-0.5 g 2 to 3 times a day. The daily dose is 0.5 - 1 g. The course of treatment is 10 to 20 days in a row or 2 to 3 courses of 3 to 5 days at intervals of 2 to 5 days. It is recommended during the treatment process to take foods rich in carbohydrates.
When applying boehmil, nausea, rarely vomiting, discomfort in the stomach, headache, facial flushing are possible.
The drug is contraindicated in hypoglycemia.
Release form: tablets of 0.125 and 0.25 g, coated, in a package of 100 pieces.
