Description of the medicine: Rhodoxolum (Riodoxolum)

RIODOXOL (Riodoxolum). 2, 4, 6-triiodosorcin.

Crystalline powder of light cream or cream color. Almost nerastvorim in water, easily soluble in alcohol.

Has antiviral activity (against the virus Herpes zoster) and has an antifungal effect (with microsporia, trichophytosis and candidiasis).

Rhyodoxolic ointment (Unguentum Riodoxoli 0.25%, 0.5% et 1%). Ointment (on a vaseline-lanolin base) is yellow, sometimes with a brownish hue.

Applied with viral skin diseases (herpes simple, molluscum contagiosum, flat, simple, plantar warts) and mucous membranes of the oral cavity (acute aphthous stomatitis, chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis, multi-form exudative erythema, erosive-ulcerative form of red flat lichen, ulcerative necrotic gingivostomatitis ); With fungal skin lesions (microsporia, trichophytosis), as well as acne skin disease (acne).

Locally applied to the lesions 0.25%, 0.5%, or 1% ointment (depending on the nature of the disease and the localization of the process) a thin layer of 1 - 3 times daily for 1 to 4 weeks. With acne, 30 minutes after the application, remove the residual ointment with a tissue paper.

Possible slight skin hyperemia and burning sensation; In these cases, the ointment is removed.

Contraindications: pregnancy, hirsutism, telangiectasia.
