Description of the medicine: Aminoacrichin (Aminoacrichinum)

Aminoacrichin (Aminoacrichinum). 2-Methoxy-6-chloro-7-amino-9- (1-methyl-4-diethylaminobutylamino) -acridine dihydrochloride.

Reddish orange melkokristallichesky powder odorless. Slightly hygroscopic. Soluble in water and alcohol.

By structure and mechanism of action is close to the antimalarial drug acrichine. Effective in the treatment of certain cestodiasis. They are also used in the treatment of trichomonas colpites.

With hymenolepiasis, aminoacrychin is administered intravenously in the morning on an empty stomach once (or in 2 divided doses with a half-hour break) to adults of 0.3-0.4 g, children of 6 years - 0.15 g, 8 years - 0.2 g, 13-15 years - 0.3 g. The course of treatment consists of 3 to 4 cycles, the duration of each cycle is 3 days, the intervals between cycles are 5 to 6 days. On the eve and on the day of treatment (after 1/2 - 1 hour after taking aminoacrychin) a laxative is prescribed. More often aminoacrychin is given together with fenasal (see).

As anthelminthic agents, aminoacrychin is not widely used.

With trichomonas colpitis, aminoacrychin is applied topically or inward. Locally - in the form of 2% paste (on Lassar paste). Enter 5 g paste every 3 days; Up to 8 introductions. The course of topical application of the drug is repeated for three menstrual cycles, immediately after the termination of menstruation.

Injected aminoacrychin 0.1 g 3 times a day for 5 days simultaneously with the first course of local administration of the drug or after its termination. When the course is repeated, the drug is not taken internally.

When applying aminoacrychin topically, irritation may occur: desquamation of the epithelium, suprascal discharge, swelling of the genital organs. It is also possible a short-term increase in body temperature. If side effects occur, the treatment is temporarily discontinued, after which painful phenomena pass.

Local use of aminoacrychin is contraindicated in senile sclerotic changes in the mucous membrane of the vagina.

Inside the drug is not prescribed for gastritis and peptic ulcer.
