Description medications: Zinc Sulphate (Zinci sulfas)

Zinc sulfate (Zinci sulfas).

Synonym: Zincum sulfuricum.

Colourless, transparent crystals or crystalline powder astringent taste, and odorless. It is very easily soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. Aqueous solutions are acidic.

Apply antiseptic and astringent with conjunctivitis (eye drops 0.1 - 0.25 - 0.5%), chronic catarrhal laryngitis (lubrication or spraying of 0.25 - 0.5% solution), for douching with urethritis and vaginitis ( 0.1 - 0.5%).

In rare cases, zinc sulfate administered orally as an emetic (0.1 to 0.3 g per reception). Vomiting when introduced into the sulphate of zinc is reflexive in nature. It persists in the destruction of the starting zone. (See. Emetic and antiemetic drugs).

The highest single dose for adults inside (as an emetic) - 1 g (single dose).
