For the purpose of preoperative treatment, the surgeon washes the hands with water and soap beforehand, then, after thorough rinsing, immerses them in a 0.1% solution of rockcal (1: 1000) for 2 minutes.

The operating field is treated for 2 minutes with a tampon moistened with a 1% solution of the drug.

For the treatment of wound surfaces, a 0.025% solution (1: 4000) is used.

Tools after preliminary cleaning are immersed in a solution 1: 1000 for 30 minutes. Rubber products are treated with a solution of 1: 4000.

To disinfect tissues (napkins, gauze) apply 0.025% solution, for external disinfection - 1% solution.

Solutions of the required concentration are obtained by diluting the initial 10% or 1% solution in an appropriate amount of distilled water. Do not use tap water.

In these concentrations, solutions of rockal do not give side effects, however, in some cases, sensitivity to the action of the drug (irritating to the skin) is possible. The solution is not allowed to enter the eyes.

Form release: 10% and 1% solutions of 250 ml in cylinders of different capacities.

6. SOFT GREEN. Potassium soap (Sapo viridis).

It is obtained by saponizing the vegetable oils with a solution of caustic potassium. A greyish or greenish paste with a mild soapy odor. Easily soluble in water (1: 4 in cold and 1: 6 in hot) and alcohol (1: 4). Solutions have an alkaline reaction.

They are used for cleansing the skin and for preparing soap alcohol and soap-carbolic solution, used as disinfectants (see Phenol). It is part of the Wilkinson ointment.

Green soap, like other soaps obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of fats, refers to anionic soaps (anionic detergents).

Currently, cationic detergents are widely used as disinfectants and detergents (see Degmicide, Decamethoxin, Cerigel, etc.).
