Description of the medicine: Cygerolum (Cygerolum)

CYGEROLUM. 4, 8 (+) -DL-2-Cyclohexyl-5, 9-dimethylcapric acid.

Transparent oily (consistency of glycerin) liquid of light yellow color with a weak characteristic odor, bitter taste. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents. Sterilize by conventional methods.

Apply externally in the treatment of granulating wounds, trophic ulcers, burns, etc.

Tsigerol moistened with a sterile gauze napkin, which is applied to the wound surface and covered with compress paper. With large wound surfaces and abundant detachable compress paper is not applied. The wound or ulcer before application of cicerol is cleared of pus. At large wound surfaces (more than 20 cm 2), cicerol is diluted in sterile vegetable oil in a ratio of 1: 5. Dressings are usually done after 1 to 2 days, with burns - after 4 to 5 days.

You can also use zigerol ointment (10 - 25%) on a lanolin-vaseline basis.

Cicerol is usually well tolerated. When applying undiluted cicerol to large wound surfaces, a burning sensation is felt.
