Citral (Citralum).

The aliphatic unsaturated aldehyde; chemical structure similar to the side chain of the molecule of vitamin A.

Yellowish oily liquid.

Insoluble in water, it has a characteristic (lemon) flavor.

Applied primarily in ophthalmic practice in keratitis, conjunctivitis in the form of a water-alcohol solution (1: 10000) for 1 - 2 drops into the conjunctival sac, as well as for the treatment of cracked nipples of nursing mothers. It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Product: 0.01% solution (1: 10000) in glass vials of 10 ml.
