EVKALIMIN (Eucaliminum).

Purified amount of terpenoid fenolaldegidov and triterpenoids from the leaves or shoots of eucalyptus (Eucaliptus Viminalis Labill.). Sem. myrtle (Myrtaceae) (see. Eucalyptus leaves).

The amorphous powder is grayish-cream (probably with a greenish tinge) color. Practically insoluble in water, sparingly soluble in alcohol.

Bacteriostatic staphylococci, streptococci, diphtheria bacillus, spore-forming bacteria.

Also it has anti-inflammatory effect.

Apply in the form of 0.25% and 1% alcohol solutions for the treatment of skin diseases gnoynovospalitelnyh and mucous membranes, wounds festering.

Assign topically and by inhalation.

In chronic purulent surgical infection used undiluted 1% alcohol solution in the form of compresses, bandages, or smearing the lesion.

In acute purulent-inflammatory processes using 1% alcoholic solution evkalimina diluted ex tempore of sterile distilled water 1:10, in the form of washing, irrigation and lotions on ulcers, opened surgically, or which revealed themselves.
