Description of the medicine: Degranol

Degranol. 1, 6-bis- (b-Chloroethyl) -amino-1, 6-deoxymannity dihydrochloride.

Synonym: Mannomustin.

White powder. Easily soluble in water. Solutions are not stable, easily hydrolyzed.

By the nature of the action is close to other derivatives of bis (b-chloroethyl) -amine.

Apply degranol with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myeloleukemia, lymphogranulomatosis, as well as with lymph and reticulosarcoma, multiple myeloma, erythremia.

They are produced in ampoules containing 0.05 g of dry preparation. Solutions are prepared immediately before use, introducing into the ampoule 5-10 ml of sterile isotonic sodium chloride solution. The solution is administered only intravenously (every other day). A single dose averages 0.05-0.1 g (50-100 mg) for an adult. The total dose for the course of treatment is about 1 year on average.

Use the drug should be under close medical supervision and systematic hematological control.

Possible complications, precautions and contraindications are the same as with the use of other drugs of this group.
