Estracyt.

Estradiol 3- [bis (2-chloroethyl) carbamate] 17- (dihydroxyphosphate).

Synonyms: Emcyt, Estramustine phosphate, etc.

By chemical structure is a combination of the phosphoric ester of estradiol with the residue of bis (b-chloroethyl) -amine (see Embichin).

It is an estrogen and cytotoxic agent effective in prostate cancer. It has antigonadotropic properties. At usual dosage does not cause a strong oppression of hematopoiesis.

Applied with prostate cancer in advanced stage and with ineffectiveness of hormone therapy.

Assign inside and intravenously. Inside take for 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after eating 2 to 3 capsules (280 mg per capsule) 2 times a day. Wash down with water. At the same time, milk, dairy products or preparations containing calcium should not be taken.

If there is no effect within 3 to 4 weeks, the treatment is stopped.

You can start treatment with intravenous injections of 0.3 g (300 mg) daily for 3 weeks, followed by 2 to 3 capsules 2 times a day or by insertion into a vein of 0.3 g 2 times a week.

Enter into the vein should be slow, for 3 - 5 minutes (to avoid phlebitis).

It is possible to inject a solution of estrogen in the form of infusion (no more than 3 hours). To do this, dissolve the contents of the ampoule in 8 ml of solvent, shaking gently, but not foaming, then diluted in 250 ml of 5% glucose solution. The use of an isotonic sodium chloride solution for this purpose is not allowed.

After intravenous injection of estrozit, a small amount of 5% glucose solution (for washing the needle) should be inserted (without removing the needles).

With the use of estrozit may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, leukopenia, in rare cases, allergic reactions, pain in the heart. Possible thromboembolism, gynecomastia.

The drug is contraindicated in acute liver and heart diseases, thrombophlebitis.

Form release: capsules of 0.28 g, (280 mg) in bottles of 100 capsules; 1, 5% solution in 10 ml ampoules (150 mg in ampoule) and 3% solution in 10 ml ampoules (300 mg in ampoule) in a package of 10 ampoules with 10 ampoules of solvent.
