Assign inside the form of tablets (0.25 grams) 1 tablet 3 times a day. The drug is absorbed quickly when taken orally. The half-life is 5-6 hours. It is mainly excreted by the kidneys in the form of metabolites.

Treatment is carried out for a long time (depending on the course of the disease).

The drug is usually well tolerated. With prolonged use, gynaecomastia may develop, pain in the mammary glands. In some cases, a slight increase in the concentration of methemoglobin, which is transient, is possible.

During the treatment it is necessary to periodically examine the function of the liver. Care should be taken when prescribing the drug for people with cardiovascular disease.

The drug is also used for differential diagnosis of hypogonadism in men. To this end, appoint 10 mg / kg per day in 3 doses for 3 days with the study of excretion of gonadotropins.

The use of flutamide is contraindicated in cases of severe liver, kidney, thyroid gland diseases.
