Medication Description: Yomeglamic Acid (Acidum iomeglamicum)
YOMEGLAMIC ACID (Acidum iomeglamicum). 3- (3-Aminophenyl-2, 4, 6-triiod) -N-methylglutarimide acid.
Synonyms: Falignost (new), Falignost neu.
Microcrystalline powder yellowish or brown. Practically insoluble in water.
It is, like iopanoic acid, radiopaque preparation for the study of the biliary tract of the gallbladder.
Apply inside in the form of tablets. Differs relatively fast release of the active substance from the pill, fast and complete absorption from the intestine.
Assign as a single dose in the amount of 8 tablets taken the evening before (12 hours) of the study, or fractionally in the amount of 8 tablets 12 hours before the study (the previous evening), and another 8 tablets in the morning - 4 hours before cholegraphy.
With the fractional method (in double dose), the best image of the bile ducts and the bladder is provided.
When taking the drug may nausea, the desire to vomit, in rare cases - allergic skin reactions.
