Description of the medicine: Yomeglamic acid (Acidum iomeglamicum)
YOMEGLAMIC ACID (Acidum iomeglamicum). 3- (3-aminophenyl-2, 4, 6-triiodo) -N-methylglutarimidic acid.
Synonyms: Falignost (new), Falignost neu.
Microcrystalline powder yellowish or brown. It is practically insoluble in water.
It is, like yopanoic acid, a radiopaque drug for the study of the bile ducts of the gallbladder.
Applied inside in the form of tablets. It is characterized by a relatively rapid release of the active substance from the tablet, rapid and complete absorption from the intestine.
Assign as a single dose in the amount of 8 tablets taken on the evening before (12 hours) of the study, or fractionally in the amount of 8 tablets 12 hours before the study (the night before) and another 8 tablets in the morning - 4 hours before cholegraphy.
With the fractional method (in a double dose), the best image of the bile ducts and bladder is provided.
When taking the drug, nausea, urge to vomit are possible, in rare cases, allergic skin reactions.

Release form: tablets of 0.2 g in a package of 8 pieces.
