CYCLODOL (Cyclodolum). 1-Phenyl-1-cyclohexyl-3- (N-piperidino) -propanol-1-hydrochloride.

Cyclodol is one of the main synthetic anticholinergic drugs used to treat Parkinsonism. It has a strong central n-cholinolytic, as well as peripheral m-cholinolytic action.

In patients with Parkinson's disease, cyclodol, like other anticholinergic drugs, reduces tremor; To a lesser extent affects the rigidity and bradykinesia. In connection with the anticholinergic action of cyclodol, salivation decreases, to a lesser extent, sweating and greasiness of the skin.

Apply cyclidol in Parkinsonism, extrapyramidal disorders caused by neuroleptic drugs, Parkinson's disease, Little's disease, spastic paralysis associated with lesions of the extrapyramidal system; In a number of cases, lowers tone and improves movement in the case of pyramidal character.

The drug is contraindicated in glaucoma (especially with a closed-angle form), delayed urination, atrial fibrillation.

Caution should be observed with hypertension, severe atherosclerosis, heart disease, liver and kidney problems.
