Tiagabine.

(-) - (R) -1- [4,4-Bis (3-methyl-2-thienyl) -3-butenyl] nipecotic acid.

Synonyms: Gabitrile, Gabitril, Tiabex.

Inhibitor of neuronal capture of GABA.

Applied in the complex therapy of epilepsy (with partial seizures).

Assign inside with a dose of 0.004 g once a day and increase it to 0.032-0.056 g per day (in 2-4 admission).

Product: pills to 0,004; 0.012; 0.016 and 0.02 g (4, 12, 16 and 20 mg).
