Description medications: Apricolin

DIDEPIL (Didepil).

Combination tablets containing procyclidine and phenobarbital.

Procyclidine (Procyclidin) -1-cyclohexyl-1-phenyl-3-pirrolidinopropan-1-ol.

Synonyms: Apricolin, Kemadren, Kemadrin, Metanin , Osnervan, Procyclid.

It is a synthetic anticholinergic drugs affecting the central and peripheral cholinergic receptors. It has antiparkinsonian action. In combination with phenobarbital has sedative and anticonvulsant activity overall.

Used in this context as in Parkinson's disease and epilepsy and other diseases involving convulsive reactions (eclampsia, etc.).

Assign inside (after eating) for adults up to 6 tablets per day (3 hours), in severe cases - up to 8 tablets (2 tablets 4 times a day). Children under the age of 3 1/2 give tablets 2 - 3 times a day, from 3 to 8 years - 2 - 2, 5 tablets per day (if necessary - up to 4 tablets) 8 - 14 - 3 - 4 (6) tablets per day.

Possible side effects and contraindications are basically the same as for other anticholinergic drugs (see. Cyclodol).

Product: tablets for adults, containing 0,025 grams of phenobarbital and 0.01 g protsiklidina; tablets for children, containing 0.02 grams of phenobarbital and 0.006 g protsiklidina (in a package of 80 and 100 units).
