TETRAZEPAM.

7-Chloro-5- (ctclohexen-3-yl) -1,3-dihydro-1-methyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one.

Synonym: Myolastan, Myolastan.

The structure of the drug is very close to sibazone (see).

Like other benzodiazepine tranquilizers, it has an anxiolytic, sedative, anticonvulsant effect, but it has a particularly pronounced myorelaxing activity.

Applied mainly with muscle contractures, with tendovaginitis, myositis, accompanied by severe pain syndrome.

Assign to adults, starting with a dose of 0.025-0.05 g (25-50 mg) on ​​the first day, then it is increased by 0.025-0.05 g per day to 0.15-0.4 g per day (in 3- 4 admission), children - 4 mg / kg per day.

Possible side effects: drowsiness, irritability, aggressiveness.

Strengthens (mutually) the effects of muscle relaxants, neuroleptics, other tranquilizers, antidepressants, sedatives and hypnotics, alcohol.

Form release: tablets of 0.05 g (50 mg) (N. 20).
