Description of the medicine: Tetrazepam (Tetrazepam)
7-Chloro-5- (cyclohexen-3-yl) -1,3-dihydro-1-methyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one.
Synonym: Miolastan, Myolastan.
In structure, the drug is very close to sibazon (see).
Like other benzodiazepine tranquilizers, it has an anxiolytic, sedative, anticonvulsant effect, but differs in particularly pronounced muscle relaxant activity.
They are mainly used for muscle contractures, for tendovaginitis, myositis, accompanied by severe pain.
Assign inside to adults, starting from a dose of 0.025-0.05 g (25-50 mg) on the first day, then it is increased by 0.025-0.05 g per day to 0.15-0.4 g per day (in 3- 4 doses), children - 4 mg / kg per day.
Possible side effects: drowsiness, irritability, aggressiveness.
Enhances (mutually) the effects of muscle relaxants, antipsychotics, other tranquilizers, antidepressants, sedatives and sleeping pills, alcohol.
Release form: tablets on 0,05 g (50 mg) (N. 20).
