Description of the medicine: Madopar

Madopar.

Madopar is a combined preparation containing L-dopa with an inhibitor of the decomposition of L-dopa in the blood and peripheral organs - benserazide, analogous in its action with carbidopa.

Benserazide, or seraside, is N - (DL-seryl) -N - (2,3-trioxybenzyl) -hydrazine (hydrochloride).

Madopar is available in capsules containing respectively 50 mg of levodopa with 12.5 mg of benserazide (Madopar 62, 5); 100 mg of levodopa and 25 mg of benserazide (madopar-125) and 200 mg of levodopa with 50 mg of benserazide (madopar-250).

Indications for use are the same as for nachoma.

Begin the treatment with taking 1 capsule of Madopar-125 3 times a day for one week. Then, at intervals of one week, increase the dose by 1 capsule until the optimal effect is achieved. The therapeutic dose is usually 4 - 8 capsules (rarely 10 capsules of Madopar-125) per day (in 3 - 4 admission). If the daily dose exceeds 5 Madopar-125 capsules, you can apply Madopar-250 from the appropriate calculation.

The average dose for maintenance therapy is usually 1 capsule of Madopar-250 3 times a day.

Madopara-62, 5 capsules are intended for more accurate dosage adjustment in cases of necessity to reduce the dose or dose distribution of madopar-125 for 2 doses.

Possible side effects, precautions and contraindications are the same as when applying nachoma.
