Description of medicine: Carbaldrate (Carbaldrate)
Sodium salt of dihydroxyaluminium carbonate.
Synonyms: Alugastrin, Alyugastrin, Compensan, Alugastrin, Compensan.
It has antacid, astringent, enveloping properties.
When taken orally, the surface of the gastric mucosa forms a uniform protective film and exerts a cytoprotective effect.
Used for peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, esophagitis and duodenitis.
Take orally (Ѕ-1 h before meals and at bedtime) 1-2 teaspoons of the suspension or the contents of 1-2 sachets (5 or 10 ml) with or without a small amount of warm boiled water.
Possible side effects: dyspeptic symptoms (constipation rarely occurs).
Method of release: 6.8% suspension for oral administration in sachets of 5 and 10 ml and in bottles of 150 and 250 ml; 0.34 g lozenges
Storage: in the dark place.
