Description of the medicine: Levobunolol (Levobunolol)
(-) - 5- [3- (tert-Butylamino) -2-hydroxypropoxy] -3,4-dihydro-1- (2H) -naphthalenone hydrochloride.
Synonyms: Wistagan, Allergan, Betagan, Vistagan.
Non-selective B-blocker long-acting.
Applied in ophthalmic practice for the treatment of open-angle and zakratougolnoy glaucoma.
Instilled in 1 drop of 0.25% solution 2 times a day or 0.5% solution once a day.
Decrease in intraocular pressure is noted in 1 hour after installation, reaches a maximum in 2-6 hours and lasts up to 24 hours.
Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as in timolol.
Product: 0.25% and 0.5% solutions (eye drops).
