Medication Description: Lodoxamide (Lodoxamide)
N, N- (2-Chloro-5-cyano-metaphenylene) dioxamic acid.
Synonym: Alomid, Alomid.
White crystalline powder. Soluble in water.
Mast cell stabilizer (inhibits the release of histamine, a slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis, eosinophilic hematoxic factor).
When instilled into the eyes is absorbed in small quantities, T Ѕ is 8.5 hours
Apply with allergic conjunctivitis and keratitis.
Instill 1-2 drops into each eye 4 times a day for up to 4 weeks.
Possible side effects: conjunctival irritation, visual impairment, possible deposition of crystals and corneal ulceration, dry nasal mucosa, dizziness, dyspepsia.
During treatment, wearing contact lenses is contraindicated.
Product form: 0.1% solution in dropper bottles of 5, 10 and 15 ml.
