Description of the medicine: Gludantanum (Gludantanum)

GLUDANTANUM (Gludantanum).

Glucuronide 1-aminoadamantane (midanthana).

White or white with a weak yellowish tinge crystalline powder. Difficultly soluble in water, little in alcohol.

Apply for Parkinsonism of different etiology, in particular with neuroleptic and post-traumatic Parkinsonism.

Compared with midanthan less affects the rigidity and akinesia, but somewhat more effective against tremor.

The mechanism of action is the same as with the use of midantan. The introduction of the glucuronide radical in the molecule of the drug somewhat reduces its toxicity in comparison with midantane and improves the passage through the blood-brain barrier.

Inside prescribe for Parkinsonism in the form of tablets (after meals) to 0.2 g 2 - 4 times a day.

The drug can be used in combination with cholinolytics and L-dofa.

How the antiviral agent is used for adenoviral conjunctivitis and epidemic keratoconjunctivitis.

In viral diseases of the eye, a 0.5% aqueous solution is applied by instillation into the conjunctival sac 5 times a day, at the end of the treatment, 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment is 6 to 15 days.

Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as when applying midantan.

Form release: tablets of 0.2 g; 0.5% solution in 10 ml vials.
