Description of the medicine: Dalteparin sodium (Dalteparin sodium)

Dalteparin sodium (Dalteparin sodium).

Synonym: Fragmin, Fragmin.

A drug of low molecular weight heparin with a molecular weight of about 5000 daltons.

By binding to antithrombin III, it accelerates its interaction with thrombin; In addition, it blocks the activated factor X (promotes the transition of thrombin to inactive metatrombin).

Blood coagulation slows down slightly. Suppresses aggregation, but not platelet adhesion.

Has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties.

The indications are the same as in the supraparin calcium.

According to published foreign data, in patients with unstable angina and myocardial infarction without Q-wave, dalteparin sodium for short-term use (6 days) was superior to acetylsalicylic acid (but not unfractionated heparin) in reducing the incidence of repeated myocardial infarctions and other complications.

Administer subcutaneously or intravenously (intramuscular injection is prohibited!).

For prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary artery thromboembolism during surgical intervention is administered subcutaneously: at moderate risk - 2500 IU 1-2 hours before the operation, then 1 time per day for 5-7 days or more; At high risk - 2500 IU every 8-12 hours, then 5000 IU per day for 5-7 days or more.

In the treatment of advanced deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, subcutaneously, depending on body weight, 10,000-18,000 IU (200 IU / kg) once a day (with an increased risk of bleeding at 100 IU / kg 2 times per day) in For at least 5 days with the transition to indirect anticoagulants.

With unstable angina and myocardial infarction without a Q wave, subcutaneously, 120 IU / kg (up to 10,000 IU), 2 times a day for 5-8 days.

Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as in the supraparin calcium.

Form release: solution for injection in disposable syringes of 0.2 ml (2500 and 5000 IU) and ampoules of 1 ml (10 000 IU) (N. 10).
