Description of the medicine: Hepa-Merz (Hepa-Merz)

GEPA-MERZ (Hepa-Merz).

Synonym: Ornithil, Ornicetil.

Hepatoprotective drug containing ornithine (in combination with aspartate).

Ornithine is an endogenous amino acid (monoaminocarboxylic), involved in the biosynthesis of urea in the body. How drugs are used for violations of the liver and liver hepatic encephalopathy.

The drug favorably affects liver function, reduces the phenomenon of hepatic encephalopathy in cirrhosis (improves psychometric indicators). It is believed that the mechanism of hepatoprotective action is associated with the inhibition (in therapeutic doses) of urea biosynthesis.

Apply orally, intravenously or intramuscularly.

Inside appoint one packet of granulate (3 g), previously dissolved in 200 ml of liquid, 2-3 times a day.

Intravenously injected at 20-40 g per day (in 2-4 admission) with a maximum speed of 5 grams per hour.

When using the drug, nausea and vomiting may occur.

Contraindicated in severe renal failure.

Form release: granules for the solution for oral administration in bags of 3 g (N. 30); 50% concentrate for injections in 10 ml ampoules.
