Medication Description: Ingacort
Synonyms: Flunisolid, Flunisolide, Fluxolonate.
Fluorine-containing glucocorticosteroid preparation for local (inhalation) therapy of bronchial asthma, as well as allergic rhinitis.
After inhalation (1 mg), bioavailability is 40% (undergoes biotransformation in the lungs), T Ѕ - 1.8 h.
Adults and children from 6 to 14 years old are prescribed 2 inhalations (0.5 mg) 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening).
The maximum daily dose for adults should not exceed 8 inhalations (2 mg).
Improvement of lung function is usually observed after 1-4 weeks after the start of treatment (the most complete effect is achieved after 4-6 weeks).
Possible side effects (oropharyngeal candidiasis, dysphonia, cough) occur less frequently than when using beclomethasone.
Contraindications: infections of the oral cavity and bronchi, active tuberculosis, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Form release: dosed aerosol in cans of 6 ml (0.25 mg / dose; 120 doses).
