LINESTRENOL (Lynestrenol).

(17α) -19-Norpregn-4-en-20-yn-17-ol.

Synonyms: Organometr, Exluton, Exluton, Orgametril.

Has a gestational and weak androgenic effect.

Quickly and completely absorbed into the digestive tract, C max is 2 h; Undergoes biotransformation in the liver with the formation of an active metabolite of norethisterone (see), is excreted mainly by the kidneys.

Applied with dysfunctional uterine bleeding, amenorrhea and oligomenorrhea, endometriosis, mastopathy, premenstrual syndrome, endometrial carcinoma.

Assign inside: with endometriosis and dysfunctional uterine bleeding - 0,005-0,015 g (5-15 mg) per day for at least 6 months; With amenorrhea (after preparation by estrogens) - 0,005-0,01 g (5-10 mg) per day in the second half of the cycle; With premenstrual syndrome - 0,005 g (5 mg) per day from the 14th to the 25th day of the cycle; For contraception - 0.0005 g (0.5 mg) per day; With carcinoma of the endometrium - 0,03-0,05 g (30-50 mg) per day.

Possible side effects: nausea, diarrhea, depression, nervousness, weight gain, acne, itchy skin.

The drug is contraindicated in severe violations of liver function, uterine bleeding of unclear etiology, otosclerosis, arterial hypertension, heart failure, depression, thromboembolic complications, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (reduces glucose tolerance).

Form release: tablets of 0.0005 and 0.005 grams (0.5 and 5 mg) (N. 28 and 30, respectively).
