Description medications: terlipressin (Terlipressin)

Terlipressin (Terlipressin).

N-Triglitz-8-lysine-vasopressin acetate.

Synonym: Remistip, Remestyp.

The synthetic analogue of vasopressin. It has vasoconstrictor and haemostatic effect.

Assign bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract and urinary tract, metrorrhagia, bleeding during surgical and gynecological operations.

Applied intravenously, intramuscularly (rarely), para- and intratservikalno.

Administered intravenously at first 0.002 g (2 mg) followed by 0.001-0.002 g (1.2 mg) every 4-6 hours for 72 hours.

During gynecological operations administered intratservikalno para or 0.4 mg (in 10 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution), increased or re-introduced if necessary dose.

Possible side effects: headache, difficulty in blood pressure, bradycardia, heart failure, increased bowel movements, painful uterine contractions.

The drug is contraindicated in epilepsy, ischemic heart disease, arrhythmias, asthma, in the early stages of pregnancy and toxemia of pregnancy.

Product: 0.01% solution for injections in 2 ml ampoules.
