Medication Description: Tetracosactide (Tetracosactide)
α- (1-24) -Corticotropin.
Synonym: Sinakten Depot, Synacthen depot.
By action close to corticotropin.
Applied with diseases of the connective tissue (rheumatoid arthritis, etc.), allergic diseases (bronchial asthma, angioedema), dermatosis, ulcerative colitis.
Assign intramuscularly to adults 1 mg 1-2 times a day, then (after the disappearance of acute symptoms) 0.5 mg 1 time in 2-3 days or 1 mg 1 time per week; children - 0.25-1 mg every 1-7 days. For diagnostic purposes, 1 mg is administered once.
Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as with corticotropin.
Form release: 0.1% aqueous suspension for intramuscular injection in 1 ml ampoules.
