Description of the medicine: Tetracosactide (Tetracosactide)
α- (1-24) -Corticotropin.
Synonym: Synacthen Depot, Synacthen depot.
The action is close to corticotropin.
It is used for connective tissue diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, etc.), allergic diseases (bronchial asthma, angioedema), dermatoses, ulcerative colitis.
Assign intramuscularly to adults 1 mg 1-2 times a day, then (after the disappearance of acute symptoms) 0.5 mg once every 2-3 days or 1 mg once a week; children - 0.25-1 mg every 1-7 days. For diagnostic purposes, 1 mg is administered once.
Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as when using corticotropin.
Release form: 0.1% aqueous suspension for intramuscular injection in ampoules of 1 ml.
