Description medications: follitropin alpha (Follitropin alfa)

Follitropin ALPHA (Follitropin alfa).

r-hFSH-agglutinin antirezus follicle stimulating hormone.

Synonym: Gonal-F, Gonal-F.

White sterile powder.

It has estrogen-like activity (increased levels of estrogen and stimulate the proliferation of the endometrium).

Apply with anovulatory infertility, the hypothalamic-pituitary disorders, polycystic ovaries, as well as carrying out various programs of assisted reproduction.

Assign subcutaneously or intramuscularly: infertility - by 75-150 IU per day, from the first 7 days of the menstrual cycle, if necessary in 7-14 days, increase the dose to 37,5-75 IU; at reproductive procedures - by 150-225 IU (450 IU), starting from 3.2 day cycle.

Possible side effects are: ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, increase in body weight), or increase the formation of ovarian cysts, ascites, thromboembolic disorders, fever, arthralgia.

The drug is contraindicated in increasing or ovarian cyst unrelated to polycystic them, gynecological bleeding of unknown etiology, genital tumors, hypothalamus or pituitary gland, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Product: dried powder for injection solutions in vials of 75 and 150 IU together with the solvent.
