Medication Description: Aminosteril (Aminosteril)
A solution of levogyrate isomers of amino acids for parenteral nutrition.
Produced by different companies with additional designations: Aminosteril II, Aminosteril III, Aminosteril KE 10%, Aminosteril KE Nefro carbohydrate-free, Aminosteril N-Hepa, etc .; they differ in the total content of amino acids and, accordingly, in the total nitrogen content and protein content, in the content of “additives” (L-malic acid, glacial acetic acid, etc.).
The indications for the use of aminosteril II and III are basically the same as those of hydrolysin (aminosterol II at a rate of 2 ml / kg per hour and aminosteryl III at a daily dosage of 1-2 liters).
Aminosteril N-Hep is prescribed for liver failure (5% solution at a dose of 1.7-2.1 ml / kg per hour and 8% - 1-1.25 ml / kg per hour), and aminosteryl KE Nefro is carbohydrate-free for renal insufficiency (up to 250 ml per 70 kg of body weight).
Aminosteril II is contraindicated in severe hepatic and acute renal failure.
Product form: solution for infusion in bottles of 100, 250, 500 and 1000 ml.
