Description of the medicine: Arteparon (Arteparon)
Mucopolysaccharide polyester of sulfuric acid.
The structure and action is similar to chondroitinsulfuric acid (see Khonsurid). It inhibits the enzymes that cause damage to cartilage, improves trophism, and promotes the formation of intraarticular fluid.
Used for arthrosis of the knee joint, finger joints, chondropathy of the patella.
Enter slowly deep into the gluteus muscle 1 ml (5% solution) 2 times a week for 7-8 weeks (total 15 injections). If necessary, the courses are repeated after 3 months. It is possible (for maintenance therapy) to carry out several injections at intervals of 1 week.
0.5-1 ml is administered intraarticularly 2 times a week (at intervals of 3-4 days) for 3-5 weeks.
Possible side effects: headache, increased sweating, tachycardia, itching, rash, hemorrhage in the skin, in rare cases, anaphylactic shock.
To determine individual tolerance, an “test” dose of 0.3 ml should be administered intramuscularly prior to treatment.
The drug is contraindicated in hemorrhagic diathesis, in the acute period of myocardial infarction, with severe arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, impaired liver and kidney function, ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, and pregnancy.
Not prescribed for children under 15 years of age.
Release form: 5% solution for injection in ampoules of 1 ml.
