VAMIN (Vamin).

A solution of levorotatory isomers of alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glycine, histidine, glutamic acid, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine and valine.

Various types of drug (Vamin 9 Vamin 14 vamin14 EF, Vamin 18) contain different amounts of amino acids and differentially applied - by the body's need for protein. Vamin 9 provides the usual daily requirement (90 g), 14 and 14 VAMIN EF - moderately increased (85 g); Vamin 18 - increased (112 g).

Administered intravenously: Vamin 9 - 0.5-2 l (adults) for 24 hours (1 liter per 6-12 hours); Vamin 14, 14 and 18 EF - 1 liter for 24 hours at a maximum rate - 1 liter for 8 hours.

Desirably the additional introduction of the glucose solution.

In applying the drug in rare cases vomiting, thrombophlebitis at the injection site; in excess of the recommended rate of administration - vomiting, flushing, increased sweating.

Product form: solution for infusions in bottles of 100, 250, 500 and 1000 ml.
