Description of the medicine: Estozin (Aesthocinum)

ESTOCINE (Aesthocinum). -Dimethyl anthioethyl ester of diphenyl-ethoxyacetic acid hydrochloride.

Synonyms: Dimenoxadoll hydrochloridum, Dimenoxadol hydrochloride, Estocin, Lokarin, Propalgyl.

White crystalline powder. Soluble in water and alcohol; PH 2% solution 4, 0 - 5, 5.

Synthetic analgesic. The chemical structure has elements of similarity with a number of synthetic anticholinergics.

Has analgesic and antitussive activity.

By analgesic action is less active than morphine and promedol, but less depresses breathing, does not increase the tone of the vagus nerve; Has moderate spasmolytic and holinoliticheskoe effect, reduces spasms of the intestines and bronchi; Does not cause constipation.

Assign as an analgesic for pain associated with spasms of smooth muscles. It can be used alone and in combination with neuroleptics for premedication and in the postoperative period. They are also used for injuries (with severe pain caused by extensive traumatic injuries, it is ineffective), in preparation for dental operations, etc. It is also used for anesthesia of childbirth.

As an analgesic agent, adults are prescribed 0.03-0.06 g (30-60 mg) of adults 2-3 times a day. As an antitussive drug, estocin is used for diseases of the respiratory tract and lungs accompanied by coughing, including in cases of bronchospasm. Assign adults to adults for 0.015 g (15 mg) 2 - 3 times a day; Children over 2 years - 0,005 - 0,01 g (5 - 10 mg), depending on the age.

Children under 2 years of age are not prescribed estocin.

Estozin usually well tolerated. With prolonged use, it is possible to develop addiction and addiction.
