ANALGIN (Analginum). Sodium 1-Phenyl-2, 3-dimethyl-4-methylaminopyrazolone-5-N-methanesulfonate.

Crystal powder, white or white with a barely noticeable yellowish tinge. In the presence of moisture, it quickly decomposes. Easily soluble in water (1: 1, 5), difficult - in alcohol.
An aqueous solution (pH 6, 0 - 7, 5) is sterilized at + 100 ° C for 30 minutes.
Analgin has a very pronounced analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. As a highly soluble and easily absorbable drug, it is especially suitable for use in cases where it is necessary to quickly create a high concentration of the drug in the blood. Good solubility makes it possible to widely use analgin for parenteral administration.
Analgin is used for pain of various origins (headache, neuralgia, radiculitis, myositis), fever, flu, rheumatism, chorea.
Assign analginum orally, intramuscularly or intravenously.
Inside take after a meal. Dose for adults - 0.25 - 0.5 g 2 - 3 times a day; with rheumatism - up to 1 g 3 times a day. Children inside by 5 to 10 mg / kg 3-4 times a day.
Intramuscularly or intravenously (for severe pain) is administered to adults 1 to 2 ml of a 50% or 25% solution 2 to 3 times a day; no more than 2 g per day. Children are administered at the rate of 0.1 - 0.2 ml of a 50% solution or 0.2 - 0.4 ml of a 25% solution per 10 kg of body weight.
Do not use subcutaneously, as tissue irritation is possible.
Higher doses for adults inside: single 1 g daily 3 g; intramuscularly and into a vein: single 1 g daily 2 g
When using dipyrone (especially for a long time), hemopoiesis is suppressed (granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis), therefore it is necessary to periodically conduct a blood test.
Cases of allergic reactions after taking analgin and anaphylactic shock after intravenous administration of the drug are described.
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity (skin reactions, etc.), bronchio spasm, hematopoiesis.
Method of release: powder, tablets of 0.5 g; 25% and 50% solutions in ampoules of 1 and 2 ml.
For use in children's practice, tablets of 0.05 are also available; 0.1 and 0.15 g.
Storage: Analgin and its combined preparations are stored according to list B. In well-closed orange glass jars in a dark place.

Tablets << Andipal >> (Tabulettae <<Andipalum>>). They contain analgin 0.25 g, dibazole, papaverine hydrochloride and phenobarbital 0.02 g each. An antispasmodic, vasodilator and analgesic. It is mainly used for spasms of blood vessels - 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 3 times a day.
There are also ready-made tablets containing 0.25 g of analgin and amidopyrine, 0.1 g of caffeine-benzoate.
