3-Carbamoyl-4-deacetyl-3-de (metiksikarbonil) vinkaleykoblastin.
Synonym: Eldezin, Eldesine.
Semi-synthetic derivative of vinblastine.
Apply for resistance to vincristine acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children; blast crisis of chronic myeloid leukemia, melanoma, lymphoma (Hodgkin's disease in addition), head and neck tumors, melanoma; cancer 1 time per week; sometimes drip 3 mg / m 2 per day for 48 hours or at 1.5 mg / m 2 per day for 5 days. After 3 injections make a break for 2-3 weeks.
Possible side effects: anorexia, dyspepsia, intestinal obstruction, nerve damage, alopecia, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, bronchoconstriction, myalgia, fever, skin rash, phlebitis.
Contraindications: neutropenia, severe thrombocytopenia, bacterial infections, pregnancy, breast-feeding.
Product: dried powder for injection solutions in vials of 0,001 and 0,005 grams (1 mg and 5 mg) together with the solvent.
