GEMCITABIN (Gemcitabine).

2ґ-2ґ-Difluorocytidine.

Synonym: Gemzar, Gemzar (hydrochloride).

A white or off-white substance. Soluble in water, sparingly soluble in methanol.

Anti-metabolite of deoxycytidine (inhibits ribonucleotide reductase).

The structure is close to cytarabine (fluorinated analog).
