Melphalan.

The chemical structure does not differ from sarcolysin, but sarkolizin is a racemate, and melphalan is its l-isomer.
Like sarcolysin, it has cytostatic activity (binding in guanine at position 6, blocking the formation of interchain cross-links in the DNA molecule), and it is used as an antitumor agent (often in neglected cases) in the treatment of multiple myeloma, ovarian adenocarcinoma, malignant (localized) melanoma , Soft tissue sarcomas, neuroblastoma and some other cancers.

Inside, usually apply to 0,006 g (6 mg) every other day (under the control of hematopoiesis).
Intravenously inject 0.01 g (10 mg) per day for 7-10 days, then 0.002 g (2 mg) per day as maintenance therapy.
Side effects and contraindications are basically the same as in sarcolysin.
Forms of release: tablets of 0.002 and 0.005 g (2 and 5 mg) (N. 25); Lyophilized powder for injection solutions in bottles of 0.05 g (50 mg) complete with a solvent.
