Description of the medicine: Nelfinavir

NELFINAVIR.

(3S, 4aS, 8aS) -N-t-Butyl-2 - [(2R, 3R) -3- (3,2-cresotamido) -2-hydroxy-4- (phenylthio) butyl] decahydro-3-isoquinoline- Carboxamide methanesulfonate.

Synonym: Viracept, Virasept.

It is active against HIV-1 and HIV-2 proteases.

Quickly and almost completely (up to 80% of the dose) is absorbed into the digestive tract, C max is 2-4 h, T S is 2.5-5 h; Undergoes biotransformation in the liver, is excreted mainly with feces.

Applied in complex therapy of HIV infection.

Assign adults and children over 13 years to 0.75 g, children under 13 years of age at the rate of 20-30 mg / kg 3 times a day.

Possible side effects: dyspepsia, impaired liver function, neutropenia.

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Forms of release: tablets of 0.25 g (N. 180, 270), powder in bottles of 144 g (0.05 g of the drug in 1 g) complete with a measuring spoon.
