NIMUSTIN (Numustine).

3 - [(4-Amino-2-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl) -2-methyl] -1- (2-chloroethyl) -1-nitrosourea.

Synonym: Nidran, Nidran.

Powder. Very soluble in water.

By chemical structure and cytostatic action is close to lomustine and carmustine.

Applied with malignant tumors of the brain, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, with malignant lymphoma, chronic leukemia.

Enter intravenously at 2 mg / kg 1 time in 5-6 weeks or 1 mg / kg on the 1 st and 8 th days every 5-6 weeks. Solutions are prepared ex tempore on water for injection at the rate of 0.005 g (5 mg) in 1 ml.

Possible side effects: oppression of hematopoiesis, dyspepsia, headache, convulsions, hemorrhagic symptoms, fever, alopecia, rash, rarely - interstitial pneumonia.

Contraindications: oppression hemopoiesis, pregnancy, breast-feeding.

Form release: lyophilized powder for injection solutions in bottles of 0.05 g (50 mg).
