The recombinant .beta.-1a interferon.

It possesses antiviral, immunomodulatory and antiproliferative activity.

Assign generally subcutaneously or intramuscularly: the herpetic infections 2 000 000 - 3 000 000 IU / m 2 for 10 days; viral hepatitis - at 5,000,000 IU / m 2 to 3 times a week for 6 months; in tumors - 2 000 000 - 6 000 000 IU / m 2.

Product: dried powder for injection solutions in vials of 3 000 000 IU; injection in 0.5 ml syringes (6 million IU).

In Russia account some other foreign recombinant preparations of interferon alpha - alfaferon, viferon. As interferons and other drugs, they are to some extent possess immunomodulatory (stimulatory), antiviral and antitumor properties.
