Description of the medicine: Saquinavir (Saquinavir)

SAKVINAVIR (Saquinavir).

(S) -N- [(αS) -α- [(1R) -2- [(3S, 4αS, 8αS) -3- (t-Butylcarbamoyl) octahydro-2 (1H) -isoquinolyl] -1-hydroxyethyl] Phenylethyl] -2-quinaldamido succiamide monomethanesulfonate.

Synonyms: Invirase, Fortovase, Invirase, Fortovase.

Applied with HIV infection in combination with zidovudine or zalcitabine, with intolerance to reverse transcriptase inhibitors.

Assign inside (during or for 2 hours after meals) of 0.6 g every 8 hours.

Possible side effects: dyspepsia, liver dysfunction, pancreatitis, nephrolithiasis, peripheral neuropathies, paresthesia, convulsions, pain in muscles and joints, skin allergic reactions.

Contraindicated in severe hepatic insufficiency, breast-feeding, under the age of 13 years.

Form release: capsules of 0.2 g (N. 180, 270).
