Medication Description: Spectinomycin (Spectinomycin)
4H-Pyrano [2,3-b] [1,4-benzodioxin-4-one] decahydro-4a, 7,9-trioxy-2-methyl-6,8-bis (methylamino) -dihydrochloride.
Synonyms: Kirin, Spectam, Togoplus, Trobitsin, Kirin, Spectam, Todoplus, Trobicin.
It is active against gram-negative microorganisms, including the causative agent of gonorrhea; ineffective against Treponema pallidum and chlamydia.
After intramuscular administration, it is quickly and completely absorbed, C max is 1-2 h, T Ѕ - 1-3 h; excreted by the kidneys unchanged (within 48 hours).
Applied with acute gonorrheal urethritis and prostate in men; acute gonorrheal cervicitis and proctitis in women; for the treatment of patients who have sex with patients with gonorrhea.
Adults are administered intramuscularly in a dose of 2 g once or (with disseminated gonorrhea every 12 hours for 3 days; children weighing up to 45 kg take 40 mg / kg, more than 45 kg take 2 g once.
Allergic reactions, dizziness, dyspeptic symptoms, decreased hemoglobin and hematocrit, decreased diuresis, pain at the injection site are possible.
Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Product form: powder for injection solutions in vials of 2 g complete with a solvent (3.2 ml of water for injection).
