Description medications: Fansidar (Fansidar)

Fansidar (Fansidar).

Tablets and solution (in ampoules of 2.5 ml) containing 0.025 g (25 mg), pyrimethamine (hloridin) and 0.5 g of sulfa drug sulfadoxine (Sulfadoxine) - Nґ- (5,6-dimethoxy-4-pyrimidyl) sulfanilamide.

Synonym sulfadoxine: Fanazil, Fanasil.

Applied mainly hlorohinustoychivyh forms of malaria caused by P. Falciparum, usually in combination with quinine.

Adults appoint deeply into the muscle on the inside of 7.5 ml or 3 tablets; Children up to 4 years - 1-1,5 ml or ½ tablet, 4-6 years - 2.5 mL or 1 tablet, 7-9 years - 3.5 ml or 1½ tablets, 10-14 years old - 5 ml or 2 pills.

In tropical malaria administered intravenously or intramuscularly in 2.5 ml solution, usually within three days (until disappearance parasitemia).
