Medication Description: Stphaglabrini sulfas
STEFAGLABRINA SULFATE (Stphaglabrini sulfas).
Alkaloid sulfate, isolated from tubers with stefania roots of the smooth Stephania glabra (Rob) Miers, herewith. Lunosemyanovikov (Menispermaceae).
White with a grayish-pink tinge crystalline powder. Slightly soluble in water and alcohol.
It has anticholinesterase activity; inhibits true and false cholinesterase.
It is proposed for use in diseases of the peripheral nervous system: myopathy (in adults), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, paresis of the facial nerve, etc.
Enter intramuscularly in a dose of 1 to 2 ml of a 0.25% aqueous solution 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.
Contraindications are the same as for other anticholinesterase drugs (see Galantamine, Prozerin).
Product form: 0.25% solution in 1 ml ampoules (2, 5 mg ampoule) in a package of 10 ampoules.
