Description of the medicine: Diazolinum (Diazolinum)

Diazolinum. 3-Methyl-9-benzyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrocarboline naphthalene-1, 5-disulfonate.

Synonyms: Incidal, Mebhydrolin, Mebhydrolini Napadisylas, Omeril.

White or white with a creamy hue of crystalline powder. Virtually nerastvorim in water and in organic solvents.

The structure of diazolin is close to dimebon. Is a blocker of H, -receptors. Unlike dimebon (as well as dimedrol, diprazine, suprastin) does not have a sedative and hypnotic effect, which makes it possible to apply it in cases when the oppressive effect on the central nervous system is not desirable.

Applied in the treatment of various allergic diseases.

Assign inside (after eating): adults for 0.05-0.1-0.2 g 1 - 2 times a day, children - 0.02-0.05 g 1-2 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the characteristics of the case.

Higher doses for adults inside: single 0.3 g, daily 0.6 g.

The drug is usually well tolerated. However, in some cases it can cause irritation of the gastric mucosa.

Contraindicated in peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Form release: tablets of 0.05 and 0.1 g, coated with a coating (dragees).
