Bilberry fruit (Fructus Myrtilli).

Mature and dried fruits (berries - vassal Murtilli) years of native bush blueberries - Vassinum myrtillus L., Semin. heather (Ericaseae).

Contain tannins (about 7%), malic and citric acid, sugar, coloring matter (anthocyanins).

Used as an astringent in the form of infusion or decoction (1 - 2 teaspoons per cup of boiling water) or in the form of blueberry jelly with diarrhea.
